Project Description

Project Management Office (PMO) Accomplishment

Scope: PMO Lead

The PMO successfully integrated a modernized heavy construction ecosystem—combining Table Formwork, Tower Cranes, Concrete Placing Booms, and an on-site Batching Plant. This integrated approach streamlined raw material processing, vertical delivery, and horizontal casting to maximize site efficiency and floor-cycle speed.

Key Performance Indicators & Project Impact
  • Floor Cycle Efficiency: Reduced floor-to-floor cycle times to 3–5 days per slab through synchronized horizontal deck setting and continuous concrete delivery.

  • Crane Optimization: Reduced tower crane congestion by offloading all concrete pouring operations to dedicated placing booms.

  • Quality Assurance: Maintained a 0% structural void rate by directly controlling mix designs and slump values at the localized batching plant.

  • Schedule Acceleration: Reached structural topped-out milestones ahead of baseline schedule estimates.

Integrated Systems Execution & Workflow
Core SystemPMO Implementation StrategyOperational Value Delivered
Batching PlantPositioned adjacent to site ground works with dedicated high-pressure pumping lines.Ensured continuous delivery of high-early-strength concrete without transit delays.
Concrete Placing BoomMounted to the core structure with continuous vertical hydraulic climbing capability.Delivered 360-degree concrete distribution across elevated slabs, eliminating manual pour buckets.
Table FormworkUtilized modular, pre-assembled “flying forms” on heavy-duty extension rollers.Fast-tracked large slab formwork assembly and minimized loose component staging.
Tower CraneDedicated exclusively to heavy structural lifts, formwork transfers, and steel flys.Accelerated deck assembly by “flying” table formwork modules up to higher active levels.

Operational Achievements
  • Cycle Synchronization: Standardized the 5-step operational loop (Batching → Pumping → Placing → Formwork Stripping) into a seamless 24-hour repeating sequence per zone.

  • Cost & Safety Controls: Eliminated crane idle time during pour days and integrated perimeter fall protection systems into the table formwork margins, lowering high-elevation safety risks.

  • Resource Optimization: Reduced site labor required for floor casting operations, reallocating crew members to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) rough-ins and finishing works.
